UKIP suggest quota on number Glaswegian football managers in England

The UKIP has suggested limiting the number of managers from Scotland’s First City that are allowed at English football clubs. A spokesman said ‘I’m no racist, I had a poster of Bill Shankly on my wall when I was growing up, but enough is enough. There’s too many of them taking advantage of our open borders and running down our great institutions. Ryanair is now operating 2 flights a day from  Glasgow airport to training grounds in Birmingham and Manchester for goodness sake’.

Some elements in the party have gone further, and think there should also be quotas of Spanish-speaking football coaches working in England who have  been mildly successful in Argentina and once led a mid-table La Liga team to a draw with Barcelona a few years ago.

The campaign has been strengthened by the support of Sam Alladyce.
